The project transforms the iconic Hollywood sign into an adaptive museum platform that seamlessly integrates with the Los Angeles skyline. Titled “New Hollywood,” it reimagines the landmark as a destination for AI and digital art enthusiasts, offering a new urban symbol that fuses art and technology.
The museum features a rotating structure capable of shifting between 0, 90, and 180-degree orientations, creating a dynamic, ever-changing presence. Internally, two key spatial sequences define the design: a Linear Exhibition Space that showcases advanced digital displays, AI, AR, and VR technologies, and a Gathering Hall Space that facilitates communal interaction with public AI artworks, fostering collaboration and engagement.
These spaces adapt fluidly to any rotation, enhancing the museum’s flexibility in both its physical form and its digital experiences. The rotating structure allows for continuous evolution, mirroring the dynamic nature of digital art and technological innovation.
By transforming the Hollywood sign into a beacon of creativity, the project redefines the concept of a “social condenser,” establishing Los Angeles as a global hub for digital art and technological exploration.
