The Stripe of CIVITAS

This project aims to transform historic relic of Rome Colosseum into a vibrant social urban landscape, blending ancient heritage with contemporary amenities. Inspired by the Colosseum's iconic geometry, the project introduces a dynamic stripe that weaves through the site, seamlessly integrating with the existing structure while enhancing its contextual significance.

This stripe serves multiple functions, creating a cohesive and multifunctional public space. The program of the stripe includes a public gallery, showcasing both historical artifacts and modern art, fostering a dialogue between past and present. An open park offers a green oasis, providing a serene environment for community gatherings. A swimming pool adds a recreational aspect, inviting visitors to enjoy a refreshing dip in a unique historical setting. Additionally, a cafe provides a social hub where people can meet, dine, and enjoy views of the Colosseum.

The renovation respects and preserves the Colosseum's historical integrity, while reimagining its role within the urban fabric of Rome. By combining cultural, recreational, and social elements, the project revitalizes the Colosseum as a living part of the city, enriching the experience for both locals and tourists.
